Bellrest®
"I have been using my Bellrest for more than two and one-half years now, and it has made a huge difference for me during that time: with the Bellrest I am able to play much longer without needing breaks, and it has allowed me to enjoy practicing again. For many years I have been aware that resting the bell on my leg when I play makes me (and a lot of other players) sit in an unhealthy position. I tried to solve this problem by using a prop for my right leg and by trying other devices to lift the bell off my leg. These attempts were all unsuccessful because they either made me physically uncomfortable or because they interfered with the sound of the instrument, or both. Until I discovered the Bellrest, I had to suffer the pain and injuries cause by playing on the leg. Being free of all that is a wonderful relief. Thanks to you and Roy for this invention."

I never sent a note after receiving the Bellrest, but wanted to let you know how much it has helped me. I had surgery last year on both my right and left elbows which had made it difficult to hold the horn off my leg as before. I was placing objects under my foot to raise the horn, but over time my hip started to ache. So, when I saw Julie Landsman with your Bellrest I thought that I would give it a try and I'm so glad I did. I can now have the correct posture that I had when holding the horn off the leg, but without the stress on my elbows. As a horn builder I had some doubts about sound projection, etc. when adding something to the bell, but I haven't noticed any difference in what the horn can do. So, thanks for the great product!"
